Privacy Policy

Muslim Garden  |  Effective date: July 16, 2026

This privacy policy explains how the Muslim Garden Android application, package com.futuready.salahcoach (“the app”), handles your information. The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name or email. The app itself does not sell your personal data. Third-party providers described below may process limited data only to provide app content or advertising.

Location

If you tap “Use my approximate location” and allow it, the app rounds your coordinates and uses them on your device to calculate local prayer times and show the Qibla direction. The permission-derived coordinates are not sent to the developer or passed in ad requests. You can skip location access completely and choose your city manually from the built-in list. Google AdMob and Google Play services may separately infer approximate location from an internet address according to their own policies, as described below.

Advertising

The app shows banner advertising through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob and Google Play services may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), Android ad services data, app interactions, approximate location inferred from an internet address, and diagnostic signals to serve, secure, measure and improve ads, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob’s data practices. Where required, the app shows a consent form powered by Google’s User Messaging Platform before eligible personalized ads are requested. When Google requires an ongoing privacy entry point, “Manage Ad Privacy Choices” appears in the app so users can revisit those choices.

Quran text and audio

Quran text, translations, tafsir, recitation, speech audio, adhan audio, video, maps, and other streamed content are requested from public services when you use those features. Providers may include AlQuran Cloud, Islamic Network CDN, EveryAyah, jsDelivr, Google Translate text-to-speech, StreamElements text-to-speech, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, Google Maps, and Wikimedia Commons. These requests may expose your internet address, requested content, and standard network or device headers to the provider. Downloaded Quran content is stored only on your device so you can read offline.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, prayer schedule, selected city or approximate coordinates, tracker history, notes, bookmarks, tasbih counts, lesson and game progress, and downloaded Quran text are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload this local app data to the developer.

Security, retention and deletion

Local app data is stored in the app’s private Android storage, cloud backup is disabled, and internet requests use HTTPS. We do not operate an app server for your prayer history, bookmarks, settings or location. Local data remains until you delete it from More > About > Delete Local App Data, clear Android app storage, or uninstall the app. Data handled by Google AdMob or a public content provider is retained according to that provider’s policy.

Notifications

If you enable prayer notifications, alarm times are scheduled on your device by the Android system. Exact scheduling is used only for user-facing prayer-time alerts and falls back gracefully when Android does not allow exact alarms. No notification schedule is uploaded to the developer.

Children

The app can be used by families, but it does not ask children for a name, contact information, or an account. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of online content and device permissions. Advertising treatment and eligibility are governed by the app’s Google Play audience declaration and Google’s applicable ads safeguards.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
